Welcome to Meet CADA. Every month we’ll be meeting a member of the CADA Design team to understand how and what they do. Last month we met Vlad!
This month…Meet Nicolas !
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Nicolas Carr-Forster and I’m a Senior Interior Designer and Team Leader.
What does your job entail?
Seeing a job through from initial brief to sourcing inspiration, sketching ideas, planning, visualising and creating working drawings from which the vision can be built.
How long have you worked for CADA Design in total?
11 years
What is the most memorable project you have worked on?
Every project I have worked on over the years has left me with unique memories, from Galeries Lafayette to Charbonnel et Walker. I guess I got quite excited recently about a new Filipino restaurant concept, Kasa and Kin.
Why was this project so memorable?
It’s nice when a client allows for the built result to end up looking virtually the same as the initial concept visual. That’s what happened with Kasa and Kin.
What is the most unique sketch you have done?
I try and pour some imagination and vision into each of my rendered sketches so I guess they all have a unique character of their own.
Do you have any unusual hobbies?
All my hobbies are unusual actually, from photographing vernacular architecture in my part of France, collecting antique toy cars and 70s Funk and Soul LPs to nurturing and driving my vintage VW beetle.
Can you describe your dream holiday?
Summer at our timber-framed farmhouse which we are currently restoring, in Southwestern France.
