Euroshop 2017
Last week we exhibited at Euroshop – the world’s biggest retail trade fair. We had a fantastic week meeting some great contacts – old and new. Here are just a few of our highlights.
When designing our stand, we had one focus in mind – to emphasise our prominence within the food industry. Whilst meeting lots of interesting new friends, we attended a number of seminars that have inspired and excited us. After reflecting back on the show, we have 2 key highlights:
The Village by Vitra
Vizona, Ansorg and Vitra showcased five illustrative stores at a joint stand. You can find out more about the core competencies of each company.
“The Village“ invited visitors to shop, encompassing a plaza-like setting in which customers can linger and relax. Five stores offered a diverse shopping experience: a fashion store, cosmetics shop, consumer electronics store, car showroom and grocery store.
Vitra created a fictitious brand was created for each of these retail worlds, along with individual products and a history that invited customers on a journey. Each store was centred around a new Vitra product, and Ansorg developed different lighting concepts tailored to each world. The various shops also address the current challenges facing retailers. One concept is extremely flexible and designed to enable quick reconfiguration, another appeals to all five senses, the next provides services that merge the real and virtual worlds. Each of the stores at the stand aimed to attract customers with its products and ambience, just like actual competitors in today’s retail market.
“The Village“ at the EuroShop fair was developed by Vitra, Ansorg and Vizona in collaboration with Finnish interior designer Joanna Laajisto.
Humanising Retail: Designing Purposeful Stores for People, Not Products
Design: retail magazine Executive Editor Alison Embrey Medina took us through a visual tour of top customer-centric trends driving the in-store experience today. Alison took us through the 6 stages of humanising retail, moving us all with her words and leaving us with a nagging excitement to get back to the studio and share our knowledge with the team.

Finally, we would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to say hello. We look forward to getting to know you all better.
